Alicia Buoni: Owner
and Certified Pilates Instructor
Alicia believes we can heal ourselves through movement and has been searching for the most efficient way to move. She believes Pilates and gyrotonic will help to re-educate your body to move with fluidity, grace and power.
Alicia began working with the Pilates method in 1997 as professional dancer with Dance Kaleiodoscope, a modern dance company, where she had an opportunity to perform every night of the summer season with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, OR.
She became a certified Pilates instructor in May 2001 by Pilates, Inc. and studied with master instructor Romana Kryzanowska, a student of Joseph Pilates chosen to carry on his work. Alicia completed over 600 hours of training and assistant teaching and has worked extensively with senior trainers in Portland and Seattle before opening her own Pilates studio in November 2004.
Alicia continues to practice and learn from master trainers. She recently completed her Gyrotonic® certification and continues to study the body and how to most efficiently and effectively help people change movement patterns that may no longer be working.

To his teaching he brings six years of dedicated personal practice. In San Francisco, he worked closely for three years with Master Trainer Suzette Slaughter, his mentor and coach.
Paolo believes that it is possible to attain and maintain a youthful physique for your entire life. He is deeply inspired by his Neapolitan Grandmother, who embraced exercise and good health throughout her long life, and became certified as a massage therapist at the age of 75! Through his work as a mental health counselor, he is motivated to help clients work through barriers in achieving their fitness and health goals.
Paolo lives up to the true spirit of Joseph Pilates in his dedication to the Pilates Method. The Power Pilates teacher training program was developed by Susan Moran-Perich and Bob Liekens, two principal Pilates heirs, who seek to preserve the original intent of Joseph Pilates’ exercises on the apparatus he created. Paolo is looking forward to sharing Joseph Pilates’ classical technique and youthful spirit in achieving his clients’ goals.
